The God Consciousness
The god consciousness, that area which is not a place a sphere or a plane, but something that exists beyond all attributes of belief systems, all definitions imposed by religions and philosophies, a beingness beyond all created beings, a knowing that includes omnipotence and omniscience yet refuses to exercise their tantalizing options, as the karma of creation entails destruction, but who, in the bliss of non-being, wants to get wrapped up in all that again?
Well creator deities must be tempted, else how does this endlessly expanding multiverse keep its stars and planets pitching themselves farther and farther away from our point of perception? And are these creator deities newbies to the god consciousness, naïve to the consequences of their giddy enthusiasm?
As seekers of wisdom, aspirants to the holy grail of our mysterious eternal identities, should we even concern ourselves with such high level metaphysical deliberations? Many, no doubt, would argue that it is way above their pay grade at this point in the unfolding. And I am not here to dissuade them. Abstruse metaphysics is not for everyone. Settling our accounts with life, death and personal karma can keep us preoccupied for decades even as we deal with all our daily challenges.
Yet as we meditate ourselves into the higher vibrations of bliss and serenity we touch on the fringes of such seeming mysteries. We begin to see that some landscapes in the post-mortem worlds are the creation and maintenance of beings more evolved than ourselves, that an energy that was once a person has manifested a vast shelter for souls of a certain stripe to work out their issues before moving on, much as a parent provides a house and garden for little ones to safely explore on their way to doing much the same themselves. This might lead to an understanding that many landscapes and communities on the astral plane have been engineered by spirits who passed that way perhaps eons ago and maintained by the unconscious assumptions of the ‘dead’ who now happily inhabit them, enjoying their peace and radiant beauty.
Such realizations are perhaps not as common as the mental and the emotional stability achieved by regular mindfulness practitioners but are given as glimpses to the adventurous and persistent. Glimpses that enable further stumbles fueled by curiosity. And if that meditator or lucid dreamer finds themselves on the fringes of the god consciousness, like a disappearing trick performed by some unseen hand, they are presented with their apparent nothingness, a joyful vacation from despair and desire that promises more whenever they manage to return. And that ‘more’ is the introduction to the abstruse metaphysics we normally shy away from.
