Moments Of Knowing
As we move through this journey towards knowing, assuming it is a progress towards greater understanding, there are these illuminated moments where knowing and understanding become so obvious we laugh at our previous efforts to attain that previously out-of-reach plateau they seem to exist on. Suddenly we seem to know it all and know it was there all along, should we have taken a moment to pause in our exertions.
In these moments our struggles, sufferings, tragedies and disappointments all fit into place, as puzzle pieces completing the big picture, the big picture of our lives and stages of our reincarnation cycles. Of course, we whisper to ourselves, this is the plan, slowly unfolding into a multidimensional movie from the confines of those three dimensions soaked in privation and limitation. We know we are free beings not bound to any galaxy, planet or species, that we have picked a placement for its educative possibilities, that our irritations and gloomy prospects are not much more than an ego erupting at the rigours of training camp.
We know that we know and we know our propensity to forget. We know it’s written into the contract, the one we agreed to millennia ago. We know the forgetting washes over us at every birth and rebirth, the joys of paradise and the thrilling overview of the entire cycle melting like haze on a sunny morning. We know that every obstacle is something to overcome by any means we have learned or invented and that one of those obstacles is the dissolution of the body, usually encountered as death.
We know in those moments of illumination that we’ve agreed to react as family, society and separated ego expect. We know our apparent ignorance has to be acted out for the comfort of others, that life as they know it can continue to smoothly function. And we know that some of those ‘others’ are the blinkered selves we inhabit for that dream we call a lifetime. We know all this as we squat on that tiny plateau of sudden illumination before we fall off into the valley of the shadow of death where we pretend to fear no evil when we actually do.
When these moments of grace allow us inside to share, are we in direct contact with our all- knowing higher selves, floating so blissfully unattached in the monadic plane? It is my contention that that is the case, although I freely recognize my bonding to the belief system which includes it. Which, of course, breeds the enigma: is there any state of being that is not the product of some belief system or other?

I agree with you that we are in contact with our higher-selves when we get an knowledge download or illumination.

maybe I try to get poetic when I want to say hello to my good friends..Believing is a trip you take, but you never arrive. Knowing is a quiet revelry making the heart expand as if on steroids and knowing says you never really took that trip. You’ve always been here dreaming that you don’t know.

Had to read this three times, but yes, I agree. We’ve always been dreaming that we don’t know.

I had to read it several times too. “You’ve always been here dreaming that you don’t know.” – this says it all.
