Grounding refers to touching your skin directly to the surface of Earth. Grounding devices use a cord inserted into a grounded wall outlet or attached to a ground rod placed in the soil outside below a window to connect you. This is convenient and really helps with a good night’s sleep.
Taking a walk barefoot in nature is a perfect way to connect to the Earth. If you’ve ever walked barefoot along a beach in the warm sand you might remember how good you felt after your walk. Connecting barefoot to the Earth’s surface relaxes and distresses you and gives you a warm feeling of well being. If you don’t happen to live near a place where walking barefoot outside is possible then simply sit down and use your hands to touch the surface of the Earth. You can also sit outside in a chair, take your shoes off, and just set your bare feet on the Earth. Sustained contact with Mother Earth yields substantial results for our health and well-being if done on a regular basis.
Modern living separates us from contact with Earth. Even the majority of our shoes are made with synthetic materials like rubber and plastic and those materials are not energy conductive so none of earth’s electrons get through to our bodies. Not having any contact with the planet is a major contributor to physiological dysfunction and being unwell. Reconnection with the Earth’s electrons has been found to promote very positive physiological changes, healing, and a real sense of well-being.
There are many studies showing how effective grounding is. Even the US Government has done studies where successful healing was clinically proven using natural grounding.
Our bodies are the perfect vehicle for life on this planet but we become unbalanced and even unwell when we don’t take the time to connect with Earth and balance our energy with the Earth’s electrons. Do it as often as you can!
Visualize your energy connection for a more powerful effect!
The next time you ground, close your eyes for just a moment and visualize in your mind the center of the Earth. Now see a bright energy field coming from the center of the planet and moving through all the layers of Earth on its way towards you. Feel the energy enter you at the place on your body where you are connected to the planet. Now feel and see your whole body light up as the strong energy completely fills your body. Just hold this vision for a moment and then relax. Visualization will make grounding much more effective.
