A Game of Cosmic Proportions
All of us are moving, at our own chosen speed, towards greater and greater understanding of the mystery of incarnation and the consciousness which seems to propel it all. As we pace ourselves to maintain some kind of balance on the sharp curves and steep hills of the road which always seems to be slightly ahead of our vision, tantalizing us with its sparkles and slinky shadows, we can wonder why we even started on this chase.
The horizons of insight keep receding as we feel we’re making progress, mocking us with their promise of knowing without doubt. We know it’s a game of cosmic proportions but once in a while we’d just like a win. The gambling mixes instruction with education and keeps us coming back for another turn at the wheel.
Let’s face it, we’re addicted to the chances of achievement, those tiny awards given out on those oh-so-special occasions when something seems to click and we can chuckle at our own cleverness for a moment or two before returning to the enigmas that nag at our need to maybe know more: are we are awake or asleep, in the moment or the lead up to the moment, living or dead, making progress or spinning wheels?
We would surely like to know, and in moments of clear vision we do. And when we know, we are the knowing and the knowing is us. And then something else happens.

I love the new journal, Gordon. Funny how we both wrote about this game of life…

Thanks. Yeah, thoughts merge. We’ll see how that goes…
