You know that old saying, “fake it until you make it”? I absolutely think it works in finding happiness and joy in your life if someone is in a bad way. I think that finding joy in small things every day begins to add up and, at the end of the day, you’ve had a good day. You really do have to choose that happiness. It’s not usually going to land in your lap. Cari, your videos are very motivational. I love your Knuggets of Knowing!

I just spent two hours walking in the forest near my home. I love to soak up the tree energy whenever I get a chance. Talk about a place to simply “be” and “be happy!” I notice every curve in the trunks. I find the rocks carefully hidden by our neighborhood rock paint-and-hiders. I immerse myself into the now and where I am so deeply – I completely lose track of time. I was expecting a big downpour of rain. When it never came, I figured I should walk myself back home before my hip starts aching ?

Sounds nice. It’s too cold here but we will have an early spring. I can’t wait until spring is here!

Sooooo, I was thinking…again (stop it Cari, I know that look!). After my brain stops hurting I thought I would share something that happened during th OBE Intensive course that William Buhlman conducted at TMI-Faber a few years ago.
I had read all of his books that he had in print at that time. So, when I heard that he had created this course and was going to conduct it…I had to be there!
Tammy Matheny told me it would held at the Nancy Penn Center so I knew I had to be in CHEC Unit #13 on way or another. I guess it was meant to be because when I walked into the building, that’s exactly where I was taken. And that’s when I knew I was in for the ride of my life!
Bill was going to teach the course that would describe 27 of the more than 40 methods his survey subjects reported using to exit their bodies. This is important information to have because, at that time in particular, this subject still was in relative infancy. No one could confirm how a person exits their body and returns and then repeat the process so it could be described and taught to others. If one can do that, then the process becomes teachable and predictable.,,,the very basis of scientific research.
Anyway, so there were 27 exercises that were intended to allow the student to experience exiting their body using 27 different techniques. I had an OBE with each technique, but there was that really stood out and I knew going in that if was going to happen then I would need the help of the “Colonel”.
The Colonel is a teaching Spirit Guide that hands out in the Nancy Penn Center. Some students are freaked by his presence and some are not…I fell in that latter group.
I forget which exercise it was, but the exiting part started almost as soon as audio support piece began.
I was propelled from my body and was standing next to my CHEC Unit starring at my roommate who was I n CHEC Unit #14. I knew there was an adventure afoot so I was trying my best to coax him out of his body, but it wasn’t to be.
So, I walked out of the room, turned the corner and began walking down starts. Normally, at the bottom of these stairs is room with couches and refreshments for the students. But this time, I found myself in an old airport terminal building that would have been classic for the 1930’s or 1940’s.
I LOVE aviation everything so I was enjoying walking around the terminal looking at everything. Then I noticed a long-fingered hand crawling down the steps I had just used. It had the look of a hand that had been severed from it’s body a while back. As I watched it, it crawled towards me. I didn’t think it odd or concerning, so I turned around and continued my awesome tour.
The next thing I knew, this crawling long-fingered hand launched and grabbed my forearm. I stopped looked down at it and said, “Why did you feel it necessary to do that. Let me go.” It did, but it kept following me.
Finally, I stopped, looked at it, and said, “You know you don’t have to do this. Why are you following me?” It kept following me until I stopped again and turned to say something when it launched at me again. And again, it attached itself to my arm. So, I pulled the fingers off me, and held the hand in a way it couldn’t get away and said, “That’s enough of that. If you want to go for a walk, all you had to do was ask.”
So….we walked. It tried moving around occasionally, but I held onto my new passenger. Before long, it seemed like it calmed down and was riding on my shoulder. That’s when the exercise ended and I was pulled back into my body.
Though I didn’t see the Colonel, he’s known for some of his pranks he seems to enjoy pulling. I have no doubt the crawling, long-fingered hand was one of them. I hope he enjoyed the tour.
    Okay, I’m done now 🙂

Dang I love your stories!!! When we realize we are NOT our bodies and some (like you) can go in and out recreationally ? – why would ANYTHING create fear? I would be right there enjoying the whole scene with you. So fun!
