Depth of Emotion
Usually when I enter the Astral Plane; I begin my experience at Haven. It is my safe space on the AP, solid, unchanging (to a degree), peaceful. Sometimes I never leave Haven, I just explore the island, the Temples and outbuildings. Lounge around the pools and fountains.
Other times I arrive at Haven, ground myself, choose a destination or experience, and go deep into the AP.
And still other times; such as this experience, I enter the AP and let the experience unfold as it does without any conscious guidance on my part. I found myself upon a cobblestone plaza, stretching to the horizon in all directions. I have had plenty of experiences here on the plaza.
This day, i found myself speaking with a group of what seemed about twenty individuals. They were beautiful beings, roughly human looking; flawless skin tone, melodic voices, all extremely similar on height, shape, and mannerisms, temperament, emotion, ideas… Too similar… Too perfect.
I asked to see their true form. As a group they panicked and started chattering among themselves rapidly, with occasional hard squawks, very un-melodic, and a rippling of harsh energy enveloped the group…
But they calmed down, and turned back to me. They said, “You will be repulsed by our true nature and form…” I said, “I have seen wonders both marvelous and disturbing, I have not turned away from understanding before, why would I start now?”
They said, “Be not afraid,” and the glamour they had wrapped around themselves faded away. And honestly, they were terrifying, truly fearful entities stood before me. Not hideously shaped; but exuding raw power, intensity of purpose: raw furry, raw justice, raw love, raw hatred, raw passion… each was distinct, and individual. They were each just the purest most far reaching totality of single emotion or ideal, and the group seemed to have multiplied in numbers beyond counting.
They were each distinct:
· Rage was chaotic turbulence; an uncontrolled energy pouring forth.
· Fury was a controlled and specified explosion of energy.
· Passion was almost an orgasmic need to give and receive.
· Messenger was a flurry of motion, a spinning vortex of wings.
· Love was an overwhelming giving.
No longer human shaped, each was a near infinitely deep presence. A coalescing embodiment without a defined form. While gazing upon each individual, I emotionally and physically felt each one to the exclusion of any other. The vast infinite depths to each emotion, some emotions so alien i have no words for them, was terrifying.
As a group, they again wrapped themselves in a glamour, each contributing to it; and again they appeared to be roughly twenty beings speaking with me. Each contribution tempered and made them perfectly balanced in their oneness.
A tear sprang to my eye at the perfection standing before me. That tear snapped me back to physical, my pillow and beard soaked from tears. Their comment, “Be not afraid”, and the limited way I can describe them in their individual pure form reminded me of Ezekiel’s visions to an extent.
